First goal was Aho's fault

Second goal was Bailey's fault

3rd Goal was Aho's fault...

tough to be Happy with Aho's game.

Power play is just brutal.

team just stinks right now.

The idea that whenever the team struggles we should immediately bench a young kid is just absurd.

Meanwhile, Josh "The Golden Boy" Bailey just glides through games. Unencumbered by the turnovers, sloppy play and D-zone apathy he plays with. I don't understand why the youth pays for the sins of the vets. Again. It's just like when Flintstone was coaching this team.

From the other thread;

You guys sound like our board now. Some of your people gonna be taking breaks etc. It is still pretty volatile in our thread most of the time.

Try not to get too down on your team. I doubt this is how the Isles are going to shake out for the season.

Yeah I don’t think any of us believe this will continue like this but who knows? Chara is not an adequate replacement for Leddy and more importantly Dobson hasn’t performed to expectations. Dobson was thought as the heir apparent to Leddy in reality and he wasn’t even in the lineup last night

This team had an incredible chance to get much better this summer. Instead we got older and slower. The fact that defenseman like Seth Jones, Dougie Hamilton, and Tony DeAngelo were signed and We signed a 50 year old Chara is just idiotic. Instead of allowing Seattle to take Leddy or Bailey we made moves to allow them to takea 31 year old Eberle and then signed a 37 year old Parise is just idiotic. (not going to even bother with the Palmieri/ Hall debate.. Hall's better.. much better. period).

This post alone will inspire Bailey to a four point game tonight. Followed by seven games of visible terribleness.

I knew it wasn’t going to happen due to the culture surrounding our team but I would’ve loved them to sign Deangelo. He’s literally what this team needs on just about every level. I’m in no way saying I want Snow as our GM(felt the need to say that due to our resident moron) but that’s 100% a Garth move

That one power play where 3 different guys had a chance to shoot from between the dots and opted to pass is the issue in a nut shell. You have Lee in front.. .Throw it at the net. We don't shoot.. it's maddening. you look at that 3rd goal last night from Tampa.. that is how u score. throw it towards the goal and crash the net. we pass it 15 times looking for the perfect play.

The only player that threw it at the net was Wahlstrom and he is in the doghouse. That’ll teach him

Watch the clip when Matt Martin is yelling at their team from the bench. The whole Isles bench was agitated and yelling.. .then it pans over to Bailey who looks like he is thinking about what to buy for dinner.

I was actually jealous of the Chara signing. I thought he still had something left in the tank and wanted him with the Rangers.

I honestly haven't watched much of the Islanders this year so I can't comment on Dobson. All I can offer is that young D-men can have some serious ups and downs. Just need to look at the Rangers as a prime example of that.

DeAngelo is a good, solid player. He skates really well, with or without the puck, has great vision and is pretty steady with positional play. He's also still young. I remember watching him in Tucson when he first came up. I was pretty impressed.

That'll teach to shoot the puck. You pass that biscuit around until someone has a 100% clean shot the the goalie can see.

I know he had his baggage(who knows what was exaggerated bs?) but I’m still shocked the Rangers let him go. I hated playing against him and I watch quite a few ranger games every season. I was always impressed with his play. I’m happy he’s not a ranger.

Tell me about it. I so wanted him to work out but given how the rest of the D is developing there is no room for him anyway. I don't understand why he couldn't just stfu and play hockey.

Hopefully for his sake and for Carolina he just stays off social media and plays his game.

I kind of expected Chara to be the way he is right now after what he was for the caps last season. I didn’t expect anything less. He’s fine as a 6/7 but I expected he wouldn’t be utilized that way and unfortunately I was right. I hope his mins are cut down a bit and he sits a game here and there but his vet status may exempt him from that in Trotz’s eyes. In other words I like the signing but I don’t like his utilization so far. With that said I’m sure Chara will adjust(like I’ve said numerous times but have to preface for resident moron) and trotz will as well as far as his deployment. Work in progress.

Imagine getting paid millions to play a game then leaving all of that money on the table because you were an immature dolt then reflecting on it as an adult?
